The Chief Executive Officer, Madam Olayinka Fatima Edu with Honourable Minister of Tourism & Culture- Gambia. Hon. Benjamin. A. Roberts, The Director General of National Centre for Arts & Culture (NCAC)- Baba Ceesay, Director of projects BOAN2015- Mr Peter Akpobasah

The Gambia, a West-African country with eye-catching tourist attractions, is referred to as: The Smiling Coast of Africa - a country that exudes the beauty of togetherness. Riding on the Smiling Coast of Africa, BOAN held its first International Press Conference and Publicity in the Gambia from Sunday 20th through Wednesday 23rd of September, 2015.

The choice of Gambia for the conference was informed by the wonderful  tourist attractions and the loving atmosphere of the country. Gambia is indeed a country where people are contented, happy, and hospitable. For these reasons, BOAN has decided for the Gambia to be the take off point for all the contestants from participating countries who would congregate in the Gambia and be made to experience the beautiful way of life of the people as well as visit notable tourist attractions
It is expected that they would carry their experience to their countries.

Right from the Nigerian Embassy in the Gambia, BOAN was welcomed to a warm and remarkable reception and acceptance that put smiles on the faces of the visitors.

The first International Press Conference of BOAN held at the Joint Officers' Mess Kotu, Gambia, where the CEO of Platinum Entertainment Nigeria  Olayinka Fatima Edu, addressed the important dignitaries and all those in attendance on the vision and mission of BOAN and the need to support the first socio-cultural Pan-African pageant. After her speech, the people of Gambia commended BOAN and expressed their delight and expectations for the eventual hosting of BOAN in December 2015.

BOAN also visited the Ministry of Tourism and Culture where the honourable Minister of Tourism and Culture, the Gambia, played host to its organisers. The minister, after lauding the innovativeness and concept of BOAN, pledged his unflinching support for the hosting of BOAN, revealing the ministry's willingness to associate with the event in every way possible.

The conference in Gambia was the second major events in preparation for the grand event in December. Also, the CEO of Platinum Entertainment, Olayinka Edu, was in New York a week before where she reached a partnership agreement with a US based firm on one hand and a Canadian company for the audio-visual documentary of "Madam Efunroye Tinubu" our celebrated Heroine for BOAN 2015, which will be premiered all over the world. The acceptance of BOAN in the United States was only a taste of what is to come.

In the spirit of giving back to the society through Belle Social and Development Initiative (BSDI), the arm of BOAN that is established to accomplish the unique social and developmental projects of its Belles in various African countries associated with BOAN, BOAN also visited an orphanage  home in the Gambia and kick-started the vision of BSDI.

Undoubtedly, BOAN is a unique platform for young, beautiful and talented ladies all over Africa to gain roots, sprout and fulfil their potentials. BOAN is nothing like the conventional beauty pageant we are used to; it is the first socio-cultural and  Pan-African Pageant with outstanding messages to the world. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for beautiful and talented young ladies to have their beauty and brains harnessed.
